Eric Field is an artist and illustrator living in Cobourg, Ontario. Although his work often incorporates photo-based elements and is currently digitally executed, his roots extend also to older graphic traditions of drawing and printmaking. A fundamental interest in the suggestive possibilties of simple marks on surfaces informs his treatment of a diverse range of source materials.

Eric is a graduate of both the Ontario College of Art and Design and the New York Institute of Photography, and has studied literature, history, and philosophy at the University of Toronto, and composition at the Royal Conservatory of Music.
